Central Iowa Energy Update May 19, 2006

Greetings from Central Iowa Energy.

I have mailed some of the CIE unit certificates. The rest will be mailed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

As you will see from the recent pictures, construction of the CIE biodiesel plant is progressing very well. The workforce at the site this week averaged about 72 workers per day. The list of contractors on site this week included:

Todd & Sargent – General Contractor

Story Construction – Construction Company

Manatt’s – Cement work

Yeager – Plumber

Interstates Electric – Electricians

Terracon – Inspector

C.G.A (Clapsaddle-Garber Assoc.) – Surveyors

Work at the site includes:

Have begun setting sheets of precast building

Set wall forms for pretreat & support buildings

Dug, formed and poured loadout footings

Paved entrance road

Continued to pour footings & walls for process & pretreat areas

Have run underground plumbing in the utility area

Set tank foundation rings and filled them with sand

Laying conduit under precast structure

Installed water, sewer & oil drain under loadout area

In Iowa renewable fuels news, Governor Vilsack is expected to sign the new Iowa Renewable Fuels Standard bill into law on May 30^th.
