Greetings from Central Iowa Energy!

Personnel Update

CIE has welcomed Tony Knute as the Operations Supervisor. Tony comes to us from the REG biodiesel plant in Ralston, IA where he worked for the last 4 years, most recently as a Lead Operator. As the Operations Supervisor, Tony will be responsible for supervising the operations and loading staff; coordinating production, maintenance and loading activities; and optimizing plant production. We are excited to have Tony on board and are confident that Tony’s skills and experience will make him a key contributor to CIE’s success.


Construction Update

Construction continues to proceed on schedule. Most of the sheet rock is complete in the office and support areas. The process control system has been powered up and instrument testing will commence. The last tank in the tankfarm is still under construction, but nearing completion. Testing of some of the utility systems will begin in mid-February.

• T&S:
  Blow out airlines in Process, install heater in metering building, install hotsy, continue to weld clips on tanks for insulators, down spouts for DE feeders
   
• M&W:
  Continued work in boiler room, HCL, and tank farm
   
• Interstate
  Continue wiring in process, pre-treat, tank farm and boiler room, all tank farm motors are wired
   
• IC&E
  Continue insulating process piping & tank farm
   
• Yeager
  Continue working on cooling water HVAC, gas heaters in boiler room,
  Anderson Construction: drywall in admit
   
• Teeters
  Painting pneumatic line outside, loadout brackets and inside pretreat
   
• Skinner
  working on tank 18, have had problems with equipment, have gotten fixed, working on roof
   
• Story Construction
  working on metering building and man doors
   
• Continental Sprinkler
